Back from four mile walk to Sainsbury’s to buy the chicken thighs that were out of stock on Tuesday. Will make the pie filling after lunch. Collected blood form from surgery but can’t book an appointment to use it 🙄

I hope the weather holds for the weekend as there's a display of locally built traction engines being held by Ipswich Transport Museum and it includes a run through the town on Saturday which I may go and have a look at.
Is this a sign of me finally admitting I'm getting old as I've previously had no real interest in this sort of thing?

I think it means that you now have the time and energy to see different things. It might be very interesting.

Wifey feeling glum today. trying to figure out our evening plans. biking to fireworks or walking about 2 miles. last year we drove & got stuck in a parking garage for 4 hours

Probably had all the makings of another weird plane crash as the pythons crushed everyone on board, after the one where a crocodile ran amok on board.

The last certificate I got was for learning Dutch. It translated, broadly, as he turned up and behaved.

Thwarted by yet another different connector.
The new to me computer arrived this afternoon (bloody good service by the supplier) and with a bit of time on my hands I thought I'd set it up. Plugged everything into the new PC with the last thing to do being the mionitor connection and - bugger! When they said '2 x display ports' on the description I thought it meant HDMI connections for the monitor, but it turns out a 'displayport' is a completely different thing and so I've had to order yet another cable which should be here somethime on Saturday so I'll have another go at setting things up on Sunday.
The good news is that with no hard disc or DVD drive it's a lot smaller which will save a lot of space when set up - old & new machines below

In good news corner, I was able to secure the ticket I wanted for November which means quite a busy couple of weeks during that month.

I've always made the time for things I wanted to do - work or not. It's just that I've never been inclined to look at steam traction engines before which makes me wonder about getting old. It should be interesting, but if not I can always go elsewhere in Ipswich for lunch & a drink instead.

Re warded myself today,after another twenty min turbo session and four miles,i walked to Aldi four 500ml bottles of their Ruby Red Ale £1-29 a bottle there was a 10p reduction a really happy Postman.
