Rather simple DIY task at Dads this morning fitting a replacement kitchen bin collected from Screwfix last evening. Two of the three fixing were in exactly the same location.
Shopping trip thence to Sainsbury's using his debit card and then after a ☕ yet another tram spotting Aldi trek.
Sprayed a number of weeds with weed killer and pulled up a bucket full of others.
Then a session on the phone with the City Council to see if any carer could call in but soon realised which way the questions were heading, hes not that incapacitated to need one to call in, especially having successfully removed a compression sock and put it back on with the help of appropriate aids delivered by Amazon. Despite his complaints over doing it couldn't help thinking putting on overshoes on remains more difficult.

It's been a grey, warm and mostly overcast day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but still feel meh. My get-up-and-go has gotten up and buggered off. Have had another quiet day that's largely been spent writing and listening to the cricket. I think I shall have a nice girly pamper session later. I don't need to cook as there's enough bits knocking around in the fridge.

I did water all the planters however, and pumped up the tyres on the car, as the pressure sensor came on last time I used it. Did it using my track pump - so much less faff than a foot pump.

I have decided not to go to the Siamese Cat Welfare Trust garden party on Sunday.

Time to feed the cat, and then it will be time to feed me.

A bit late, but it's time for a hot chocolate and a biscuit.

Didn't do much after finishing the domestics early afternoon except to go out and get the train tickets for the end of the month trip (why do some companies insist on paper tickets for some journeys?). When given the choice of a 5 minute walk each way or a near 15 mile mixed surface bike ride, it's an easy decision - :bicycle:

Back home after a nice traffic jam evening journey through the roadworks on the A1 at Wentbridge and Bramham. Did have a false start when I realised my wallet was not in my jeans pocket. That turned out to be fortunate as I had left my mobile behind. The tile app sort of worked holding it next to the bags in the car to reveal which one the wallet was.
A bit of concern was a sign saying the A1(M) was shut between 42 and 43 but it wasn't although cones were being put out.
The Harrogate Sainsbury's called in due to a lack of milk at home, and as expected at home found the bird seed feeder empty.
