It's been a warm and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard. Except between 2pm and 4pm, where it hosed it down.
Slept well, but still feeling very tired. The weekly dog walk was deferred till tomorrow on account of my friend on Pets as Therapy duties with her ginger boy Tallis. Ergo I had a kitchen morning, preparing fruit for a crumble and doing all the prep work for tonight's supper. Also loaded up the car with stuff for the tip before the rain arrived.
Smoked salmon on toast, an apple and a

for luncheon.
Sorted out a few other chores, then off into town to chuck some petrol in the car, and from there, went to the tip to dispose of three bin liners full of junk and a bouquet of broken mops and brooms.
And I ended up buying an N+1. Whoops!
Didn't have quite enough cash on me, so hared home, rustled up the readies and went back. You can't reserve stuff anymore, so it's fastest finger. Even better, I got a fiver knocked off.
I am now the proud owner of a Specialized Hotrock.
Yes, it needs a bit of work. Will need to strip it down, clean / grease everything, new cables, new brake blocks, probably a new chain, new pedals (don't want the plastic ones that're fitted), mudguards and a saddle that's better for my bottom. Looks like it got outgrown and shoved to the back of the garage based on the grot and cobwebs, but it's all there and, aside from a few scuffs, seemingly in reasonable nick. Think I did OK for £35. Plus I can move stuff over from the Raleigh Max if I want to go down that road. First get it rideable though, and then decide what exactly I want to do with it.
Fabulous supper of spinach, ricotta & walnut cannelloni and an apple crumble with custard.
