Enjoyed a pleasant few miles walk in sunshine this morning, and after lunch managed to nip down to the library and back before the showers arrived. I’m pleased to see the rain but even better if I can manage to avoid being out in it

Made it to Leeds eventually - rebooked myself on a later train and had the promised drink at the Track & Sleeper to mark 18 months to the day since I retired (29th Feb 2024).

Now for a snack, shower and a snooze at the hotel before an evening of loud music.

Phone rang this am. Expecting some antibiotics but no, turns out the sample a neighbour delivered on Wednesday was posted into a prescription box that wasn't opened until this morning so they now need a new sample on Monday.
Ocado delivery at lunchtime and it now looks like making another one will be needed, maybe use someone else. Did get another sunflower heart feeder - looks rainproof unlike the one the birds like but will they turn their beaks up at it?

We have had a couple of short sharp rain showers this afternoon.

It turned out quite pleasant in the end so I went for an extended stroll, keeping to the sunny side of the street when possible. This has entitled me to resume doing nothing once more.
