It's been a day of dodging the showers here chez Casa Reynard - after a night of extended rainfall.
Slept well enough this time. My morning was spent prepping a load of fruit for jam - I had some greengages left that were very ripe, and some cooking apples (Huntington Codling and Jolly Miller) that also needed using thanks to previously un-spotted codling moth holes.

It didn't, but I now have the contact details for the relevant departments to get my account unlocked. Ergo I shall be bending a few ears. I also got into my old e-mail account and yes, it seems that the problem was the post I made about sharpening the blades on the mower's cutting deck with a grinder. I will need to add gear cables to the shopping list, and need to adjust the limit screws on both the front and rear derailleurs.
