Morning.
It's sunny with blue sky here at the moment. It looks like we had rain in the night.
I woke up during a dream. I had bought some binoculars on the bay which were rubbish and I was returning them. Whilst still partially asleep my brain started thinking about some childhood memories. I can remember a friend and I were crossing an old wooden bridge across a brook. We used to use the bridge quite often. It was basically a thick wooden plank like a railway sleeper with 2 wooden rails at waist height to steady you as you crossed. I always thought that the bridge was odd. It was set in the brook with built up stone sides with a smooth stone or concrete base in the brook. The day my friend and I were crossing some workmen were clearing away a copse set on the hillside on one side of the brook. Whilst they were clearing away the trees they had dug down and revealed parts of a ruined building. This must have been the remains of a watermill which would explain why the bridge was supported in a strange way. The wheel must have sat where the bridge was placed. I haven't found anything on any old maps showing it but the farm nearby is called Mill Bourne farm.

Good morning from a mostly sunny and much less windy than yesterday Suffolk. Coffee has been had from a freshly opened pack - Sainsburys taste the Difference Colombian which may be an acceptable replacement for my preferred one which Lidl haven't had in stock for a couple of weeks.

The first load of washing is just starting the spin cycle and then I've got to work out if there's time to get the duvet done on the shorter cycle before I need to leave for the train station. Heading back to York again today for another visit to The Crescent for what was going to be a double header, but one of the bands appear to have pulled out and it's now a triple header!
