Racing for the first time in 10 months at Derby velodrome. Nowhere near the front in the first race, but not last. The photo is not me!

Edited: somehow got 2nd in the next race, a 'win and out'. In bits now.

2nd edit; got a win in the Points race. Now dead so have stopped before the 4th race.

I got half way around before it started to rain gently on my mile and half walk.

Good morning all, wet and gloomy here, forecast to last all day.
Yesterday was an exhausting not-for-pleasure trip to SW of Birmingham and back, set off catching the bus into town just after 6 and got home 17 and a half hours later. Still, it was interesting to see a bit of Birmingham as we made our way between New Street and Moor Street Stations. I’d not set foot on Moor Street Station since I was a kid in the 70’s so it was a nice surprise to find it has been restored to it’s old heritage, it was like you’d find at somewhere like Beamish or the Black Country Museum.
