Wet and windy just about covers it.

Just as I was getting the phone ready to use my Tesco Clubcard to make sure I got the 25% reduction on their ''Finest'' brand wines, it froze in WhatsApp. I couldn't get out of it. So I used the phone to pay the full price, and this unfroze it...exactly at the moment when it became too late to get the discount. Faffing around in the customer services queue is not my favourite activity but I did get my £10 repaid to the phone.

I may give the phone a reboot. Please don't try phoning me for a couple of minutes.

Persisting it down here in Suffolk as well.

Found enough dark washing to make a load and stuck that in the machine while I went out on the bike to get the shopping. Very hard work into the wind but hardly needed to pedal along the seafront road with the tail wind. Home and shopping put away, washing on the line to dry (which took less than an hour), vacuum cleaner taken for a walk round the house, lunch, coffee and then the kitchen floor steam mopped.
I'd just sat down for a few minutes with the Tour of Britain and was thinking of going out for a walk when the heavens opened.

Finally got some antibiotics
Had to see a Doctor who said I had an infection and needed them. Pretty pointless appointment and having got the test result yesterday surely they could have prescribed them yesterday?
Had to collect them from the pharmacy in Asda, great I though loos on hand and do some shopping.
Got there to find the loos shut.
Thankfully the pharmacy did the prescription straight away but no shopping done.
New sunflower heart feeder deployed, pretty poor grill on it about as much fell out as put in so no excuse for them to turn their beaks up at.
Have the birds scoffing the Aldi suet balls they did turn their beaks up at by smashing them with a rubber hammer and putting on the table.

It's been a blustery and showery day here chez Casa Reynard after some pretty significant overnight rain.

Slept really well, and overslept slightly. Other than having to pop out to the post office in Littleport and doing a load of laundry, today has been very much a kitchen day. This morning's main task was peeling a large pile of tomatoes and turn them into pasta sauce. Added onion, garlic, sage, oregano, thyme, rosemary and a soupcon of chilli. The sauce is still simmering away in the crock pot.

Lovely luncheon of anchovies on toast, an apple and a :cuppa:

Then the afternoon was taken up with all the prep for supper. I am doing a bit of batch cooking of things today, so I shall have plenty of bits to fill lunchtime sandwiches, and some extra potatoes to turn into gnocchi later in the week.

Lovely rainbow over Hamtun at the moment 👌

The nights are really drawing in now. Having a hub dynamo makes winter riding so straight forward.
