WAH disturbed by thunder but no lighting that I noted. Not much rain so one water butt isn't even half full and the rest empty.

Another day of sunshine and showers. I misjudged the weather first thing this morning and got soaked on my perambulation.

Penultimate working day of the week completed thankfully as it was quite a stressful day. Only five hours to work tomorrow thankfully and then the weekend starts!

I didn't go out for a ride tonight. I tidied up my flat and have been catching up with some writing.

A lot of fuss on the local facebook pages because the council cut down an oak tree to make room for a cycle lane. There has been a year-long campaign to save this tree.

Once the rain finally cleared through it was quite a nice & sunny afternoon - if you were out of the strong breeze that is. At least I was able to get out and about for a while.

Just before I went out there was an email from Greater Anglia confirming that they had approved one of the delay repayment claims, but it turns out they'd calculated it incorrectly and only paid 50% for a 30 minute delay (the train I was on) rather than including the missed connection so I have appealed this for the full amount.
When I got home there was another email confirming they had approved the other delay repayment claim, but this has also been incorrectly calculated and I've been given a full refund rather than the 50% I'd applied for. This hasn't been appealed ^_^

A route has been mapped out for a possible ride on Friday if the weather holds.

It's been a kind of four seasons in one day weatherwise here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Managed to dodge the showers this morning, meeting up with a friend for our weekly walk with the dogs. It started hosing it down just as we got back to the car! Did another load of laundry when I got home.

Lovely luncheon of a cheese & coleslaw sandwich, an apple and a :cuppa:

Afterwards, I woke Rocky the Hardtail from his slumbers and went off hazelnutting again, just as the sun came out. As planned, yesterday's gale had brought down a good portion of what was left on that bush, and I gathered another bag full.

Spread out the nuts in a cardboard tray to dry.

After, I hoofed off to Tesco to drop off the soft plastics and do the proper grocery shop for this week. Had some very good buys on sticker. Other than a pot of chives (which I will put out in the garden planters) and two kg of new potatoes, I also came home with a bouquet of baguettes, breakfast cereal, dried apricots, leaf tea and a job lot of dented cans of chickpeas, lentils and black-eyed beans.

Crusty baguette, meatloaf and mustard for supper, as well as a :cuppa: and the last of the crumble and custard.
