It's been a grey and blustery day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit a very warm and humid one.

Slept well, but have felt rather run down. So I've had a plumpitty day. This involves wearing a onesie and doing as little as possible. I did water all the planters outside, tidy up the shopping and consign some stuff to the freezer.

Lovely luncheon of the last of the baguette, coronation turkey, an apple and a :cuppa:

Have spent the afternoon writing and working on my archive. It's been so nice to NOT have to run around like a blessed lunatic for a change. OK, I don't mind, but sometimes a quieter day is called for.

Good turn of the day was giving our postie a jar of homemade jam. Was lovely to put a smile on his face.

Now have a :cuppa: and a biskit, and am watching the early evening news.

Rain stopped so the seed feeder did get topped up. Noticed all this rain had caused 95% of a bare patch on the rear lawn, that I emptied a gardening clearance in Sainsbury's box of Patchfix on,to turn into lush green grass.

Today's shopping included an unexpected bulk buy of socks from Lidl. At £6 for 10 pairs how long do you give them before they fall apart?

I've decided to have a day out on Friday to take advantage of the forecast good weather. To this extent, I'd purchased the train ticket home before deciding on the route to get there or whether I was starting from home or from a little closer and trying something new. All is now sorted, but this has now introduced a new problem in that tickets go on sale for yet another band I want to see at 10:00 on Friday and this is exactly the time the outbound train from Ipswich leaves. Best get the ticket website login details saved to the phone.

A nice day for a change. I even managed to get washing dried outside.

Another highly mundane day at work, although I am sick of the way out manager micromanages us. I thought it was just me but others say the same thing.

I escaped for my usual 20 mile ride. Quite breezy but a nice night for riding. I am definitely starting to feel fitter again.
