Good morning from an 8th floor hotel room in up to a couple of minutes ago sunny Leeds. Coffee has been had. i'm shortly off into town from breakfast, a bit of food shopping for tonight and a quick stop at Decathlon to see if they've got a cheap tripod stool in stock.

I wish the BBC would show a full weather forecast for the weekend as I'm trying to decide whether to go to Silverstone on Sunday.

My daughter's cat was poorly today. She had to take it to the , it turned out that he had a blocked bladder. He was in for 4 hours and it cost £1100. She had to have antibiotics as he bit her, she is undergoing breast cancer treatment at the moment.

sound like quite the emergency! just saw a commercial for pet insurance the other day. that would have come in handy, eh?
