It's been a mild day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit not as mild as it has been. Sunny start, but clouded over.
Slept OK, neither well nor poorly. Another morning of DIY, which involved doing the repairs to the sash window in the bathroom. One sash guide tapped back into place, so now there's no gaping gap between the window and the frame, and a new catch fitted. I'd always wondered why the top sash kept slipping, and when I looked closely, there was only half a catch. Which meant it couldn't stay in place.
Now I have a window that sits flush in the frame and that also shuts. Just the window in my room left to work on. Which also is catchless. I have replacement catches, but when I dug them out, they were all rusted. So two are now sitting in a jar of vinegar to de-grot.

Listened to the sprint race from Brazil. Shan't spoiler it for those who are waiting for the highlights. Will be following the qualifying on the BBC website as I'm currently listening to Sunderland v Arsenal.
Went out to view the two cats I mentioned the other day. The daughter, who originally caught my eye and who I really wanted to meet, did absolutely nothing for me. She's a pretty little thing, but didn't really interact with me. She was far too busy doing her own thing. The mother though, I think has potential. She's shy, but a real sweetheart, and was happy to accept treats and headbutt me and purr. So I will sleep on it and then probably arrange to go and see her again. Having met both girls - plus the other male cat that came from the same household - I don't think there would be a problem splitting mum and daughter up.
That was my worry i.e. if they *had* to be kept together. If you like one and not the other, or the compromise of giving up on the idea of a Siamese or Oriental. Both those are now a non-issue.
Mum isn't quite ready for homing yet, so I do have a bit of time to think about it.
