But ... BBC iPlayer doesn't work overseas without a UK TV licence.

I read in the Guardian that BBC content is available via BBC.com where there is the BBC Select streaming service. Though how many US citizens would have followed the scheming of the pineapple Pinochet on the BBC instead of on domestic news is another question.

Having a wind down drink after one of the best gigs I've been to. A support band I last saw and enjoyed a couple of years ago was a welcome surprise and then Sprints followed it up with 75 minutes of pure sound and energy. I've seriously looked into going to Nottingham instead of Brighton tomorrow to see them again, but the cost is too much.

My 60 year old knees and hips are going to hate me in the morning.

Airport pickup for SWMBO. Her flight from Belfast City airport to Leeds Bradford is delayed so I'm nearby in a café with a drink and a mince pie.

Alternating between Schiphol and Frankfurt, usually west from Schiphol and East from Frankfurt.
You were never home until you actually got on ground at LBA
Only place I've ever been really anxious on landing. Daft place to build an airport. Couldn't decide what was worse, fog, snow or wind.

Unfortunately you're stuck with them when it's your boss.

Believe me, I understand that: I had a very similar boss for several years. Sad thing was, in his case he wasn't a particularly unpleasant person, just way over his head in an inherited company and unable to deal with the stress.
