Oh! I had a bit of success in getting some movement on the seized seat post on my Pinarello. I poured boiling water onto the ally frame and then hit the saddle with a large rubber mallet. The post has twisted round by an 1/8". I will continue to put release spray on it until I have another go.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's been another bright & sunny start to the day, but also bitterly cold making leaving the warmth of the duvet a difficulty. Coffee has been had along with another couple of coughing fits thanks to the last of the cold.

A quiet day in prospect, so I think I'll get out for a bit of fresh air when it's warmed up a bit later on and then force myself out to the family do later this evening.

Sat at home on a student support meeting, with no-one else there, feeling xx( as son no. 2's given me a nasty cold. At least the students apparently don't need supporting today.

Son no. 2's got a new job up in Carlisle after a successful interview yesterday. Not a graduate job but an improvement on what he's currently doing. He'll be moving up in a week or two's time to the house we have up there. Are there any CC members near Brampton?

It's frosty outside

Due to my treatment I have to keep an eye on temperature. So off went Mrs 73 to a thermometer despite all the bags of kit we have. Can she find one, no so new one is on order. Finding all 5 Sphygs and 3 auto BP machine however was not a problem. It also looks like the stand alone obs bag when was last out. Someone took a fancy to and is missing. Lucky the expensive stereoscope was not in it.
