No it's not a fact of life but can be a bit of try and see what works. If it is very bad your GP can prescribe meds to help with circulation.
I find wearing a good pair of warm socks helps , keeping my hands warm when out in cold weather did take some working out. Really cold weather use to leave me in right pain. I now use heated gloves for most of time in winter and they have changed everything.

Thank you

Tesco in Harrogate, they still spell it with a "w" darling.
Yes that is true Hawogate but pray tell me why does Harrow not get the same.

It's been a brrrrrrright and chhhhhhhillllly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept really well. Woke up a bit too early, turned over and then woke up an hour and a half later. Whoops! Still feeling tired, stressed and snotty. More tired than anything else. I had planned a quiet day, but looking at the long range forecast, next week is looking pretty wet. Ergo I wrapped up well and off into the garden with the chainsaw to cut firewood. Carried on with the ash and the cherry I felled previous week, and spotted a nearby oak that was also dead, and so felled that as there was no wind. Turned a whole load of stuff into logs.

A lovely luncheon of a gammon sandwich, a pear, a persimmon and a :cuppa:

Then, this afternoon, went back out with the wheelbarrow to haul in what I'd cut. Four large barrows of logs are now stashed in the garage, so, along with what I already had stashed away, I now should have enough cut stuff for the next couple of weeks.

Now sat down with a biskit and a :cuppa: and watching the early evening news.

Madam Rhubarb is in the igloo bed next to the radiator in the dining room. She's already been here a week, and massive improvements. She's a lot less skitty, she's put weight on, and her coat is now silky rather than wiry.

Another enjoyable few hours out this afternoon enjoying the sunshine and light winds. Decided to use winter boots so my feet kept warm this time, but I seemed to run out of energy midway and have had the last part of the afternoon & early evening resting on the sofa with the Kindle.

Food and a coffee have just been had which means I really ought to go and get changed to go to the family do - with the current temperature at just below zero out there I haven't decided whether to walk the two and a bit miles into town or to take the train.

The working week is completed. No pre-breakfast perambulation this morning due to icy pavements.

I took a wander around town after work and scored some cycling tops in a charity shop. :becool: I actually have more cycling clothes than I have normal clothes!

Feeling tired this evening. Work is very draining these days. Just relaxing listening to a concert on the radiator.

Hasn't opened yet, people where almost betting which would open first but Ripon took that. Meant to be later this month but latest drone shots imply lots to do and they are still building the roundabout on the A59 which has been shut westbound for weeks. Was crazy on Monday when 3 way temp lights went up at start of the unofficial diversion.

I've done my bit for that side of the family for a while by showing my face for an hour and a half - it was all I could take as much as I like them. A fairly loud disco with music from the 80s and 90s (which I couldn't stand then and it hasn't got better with age) and having to shout to the person sat or stood next to you to be heard hasn't done anything for my cold induced sore throat. When I got home I just sat with everything turned off enjoying the silence and a hot chocolate.

I think my sister had the right idea by not attending with a (possibly tactical) headache.

I wouldn't have minded the music, but I don't like these kinds of gatherings.

Far less taxing to socialize in small groups over tea and cake.
