Morning.
It is getting sunnier here, the cloud seems to have thinner out a bit.

On some other site I questioned why some ally seat posts had flutes in them saying that it was just asking for trouble in allowing water easy access into the frame.
I was told by some person that sensible peeps , his opinion would have gone and got a frame purposely built for them which wouldn't require the seat post to go that low. Well in future I will tell my man servant that I have discovered that he has been buying my bikes off the peg and not getting them made to measure like I told him too. I have reduced his wages so he will learn that lesson!

Vanessa goes to the hospital today. A little bit of a touch up, here and there. But a few days stay.
Pool car has been booked out so I'm on plan B

I'll have to take Hercules collect Vanessa and then use the train to complete today's FG&C.

Got worse, well chaotic. Eventually traicled, meld of train and cycle, to exercise class. Damp and freezing cold.
Then ditto home, hoping to find the pool car. But it's been snaffled
Cycle to Vanessa, she's in a grump because my 0900 rendezvous became 1430.
I'm cold, despite the bike ride. It's getting dark and the school run starts soon
A lot of humidity around. Hercules announces he is out of battery.
Get Vanessa to the care centre. Remonstrate with Hercules. He is unimpressed with my profanities but since it's less cold he offers me 10 km. Not quite what I need for the return journey
So, we retreat through the darkness and rush hour traffic to the station. The train journey will mitigate the battery crisis.
Luckily, just 5 minutes wait for a train.
Half way from the station to home Hercules announces that his battery is exhausted, will not participate any more. He does agree to keep the lights running.
Pedal the entire dead weight (16+ kg plus my 80 kg) home. Mostly flat, I'd always thought.

Arrive warm, realise Hercules has picked up a lot of mud on today's adventure. That's for tomorrow.
Right now, secure bike in shed, remove battery, get on charge, whilst the kettle boils for a nice cup of The Earl.

How was your day?

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk, except for right now when there's rain falling from an apparently clear sky!

Coffee has been had after a very good night's sleep and I've managed to bag another of the 'Pink Friday' offers from Octopus - a free bag of chocolates. None of the other offers this week appeal to me, just one of the cars to win in the free draw on Friday

Gas boiler service due at around midday, so I can't do anything other than clear out the airing cupboard until later this afternoon.
