Is it relevant that the organ they are trying to scan is the liver? That is where my tumour is, and the liver detoxifies the blood. Apparently my liver function is normal.

No as it’s not really targeted it circulates via blood stream. The only targeted part is the scan. If your liver function is normal then its not going to have much effect as it will be able to cope as normal.

Good morning from a 5th floor hotel room in damp and overcast Leeds where today's view is of the A58 & Wellington Road.

Coffee and a shower have been had making it almost time to go into town and have some breakfast whilst trying to dodge all the Ch****mas tat stalls - which isn't easy as they're all over the place.
Can I just point out that they are one and the same!
You've been had.

Moving and unpacking of son no. 2's house move has mostly been done, with a couple of furniture items to collect tomorrow and a washing machine to install.

One bedroom's for him, the other for his bikes and turbo trainer (plus guest bed in a corner that I'm currently occupying).

To celebrate tired muscles a lovely meal at Mondello in Brampton was had (a Sicilian restaurant) :mrpig:

I'm watching Saturday Night Fever on You Tube, as in the tv not cinema version. It's a bit 'suggestive', but tame in these 'we've heard and seen it all before' times. Notice below how its censored.😏

What is in that fluid that gets injected into people for contrast in CT Scans?
I will not be looking it up on tinternet, because that might make me feel even worse.

I would add that all the staff were very kind, and I did not get any impression that they were getting frustrated/annoyed/ exasperated in any way. It took about twenty minutes, or more, to insert the cannula.

For my recovery this weekend, I have mice pies, and a mint Terry's chocolate (orange?). I will be taking it easy this weekend as you may imagine.

I think it is iodine based. They told me it would cause hot flushes.
