Good morning from an occasionally damp and continually overcast Suffolk. Coffee has eventually been had due to a very relaxed and slow start to the day, with the first biscuit from of a fresh pack of 'Oaties' for dunking.

There's a load of washing currently on the go and at some point I need to go out and get some food for the next few days. The afternoon will probably go one of two ways depending on the weather- I'll either be slumped on the sofa with the radio and/or the TV for various sporting events OR out for a longish walk with the radio on through headphones

Is that the full film or the US cut down one ?

In cinema class at Uni, we saw the whole version, and I believe I saw the whole version on Kanopy recently. I have been looking around for The Hill, lately.

Post just delivered at last!
Early morning trek to the post box was undertaken to deposit in it Christmas cards
Had a rummage through the ones I have left and think they will be off to a charity shop.
Rain has now returned.
Made the first use of the new Tesco roundabout yesterday to avoid a awkward right turn out of a retail park. The result of that visit to B&Q was more replacing of kitchen floor "planks", four were scratched and annoyingly one of the previously new ones had flaked at the end.

Raining for last couple of hours and looks like it's here for the day 😔

Visited a local coffee / farm shop and had a nice 2.5 cuppas out of one pot of tea and a third of a shared flapjack

Looks like an afternoon in front of the goggle box and a cheesy film

A very mild but very soggy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but other than the very basic chores (litter trays, firewood bins, grate) nothing has been done. Listened to the F1 on the radio, kept an eye on the snooker, and had a very late luncheon of toast, the last of the corned beef, some fruit and a :cuppa:

It is so mild outside, that the windows from the hallway have steamed up outside LOL! I don't heat the hallway at all (there is a door separating it from the rest of the house) and it's essentially just a storage area for excess books, bicycles and outdoor clothing, as well as housing one of the litter trays - albeit one that's currently not in use.

Am planning a quiet evening watching the snooker, but it looks like the match will finish early.

Our outside chairs are nice and dry inside the garage for winter, too soft i am i tell you. When i were a kid we ad to scrape ice off the insides of our bedroom window, metal frames and then stand on lino floors, carpets carpets tough we wer.

One thing that always 'gets' me is people saying 'Lino' is cold, Linoleum is actually quite warm underfoot whereas Vinyl flooring (often wrongly referred to as 'Lino') isn't. If it has a pattern on it then it ain't Linoleum, there are 2 versions of true Lino one is plain single colour the other is 'marbled' and known in the trade as Marmoleum.
Main difference is cost, Linoleum/Marmoleum is expensive*, Vinyl flooring is a quarter of the price but then there is also wear resistance Linoleum is guaranteed for 30 years but you'll be lucky to get 5 years out of Vinyl flooring before visible wear is present.

* Last lot I bought for our bathroom and loo floor was £30 a sq metre but after 15 years still looks as good as when it was laid.
