Good morning from a very dull and overcast Suffolk. Coffee has been had.

About the most exciting thing today will be deciding in which order to do the shopping. There's slightly too much to get into one backpack load, but not enough to warrant the use of the ebike & panniers so do I do Lidl first or do I do Morrisons first?

I need to be at home from mid-afternoon to receive a parcel (no safe place option) so a bit of bike cleaning and lubricating may take place while I'm waiting.

The doctor decided I needed a blood test so she sent details to the GP reception. I pick up the form, on which the receptionist has written a phone number. So this morning I phoned the number, where an automated system asked for my phone number to send me a link to the online booking system. They send me a SMS message with the link and I book an appointment online.

I mention this because the phlebotomy clinic is 2 floors up from the reception where I picked the form up from. I can't help thinking it might have been easier to use the building's infrastructure, i.e. the stairs rather than handwriting the phone number, making a phone call, getting a message, and using the link to make the appointment.

Something to make me smile this morning, found myself walking aside a fella in the hospital, glanced sideways....errr Tony Parker ????
We havnt seen each other in 25 years. A nice chat followed. Lovely to see an old colleague...and not that it means much here, a comparison on people we do see and it turns out a former electrician I assumed may have passed by now...is still cycling his town bike locally...at 90 years old. Yay...
