Evening cuppa of tea went down well with a Molly's digestive biscuit

It's been a lovely and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after a chilly start.

Slept well, but woke up too early, so stayed in bed reading a bit. Leg is continuing to improve. I now have full range of motion in my ankle, which makes walking a heck of a lot easier. My shin is still sore, and my calf is still swollen, but it's manageable without any painkillers.

Morning was spent doing chores - albeit gently.

Lovely luncheon of cheese on toast, a pear and a :cuppa:

Had a quiet afternoon. The Christmas cards are all written, and parcels lined up to be wrapped and addressed.

After, popped to Tesco, as I was in want of bread and milk, and I wanted to take advantage of their clubcard offers on salmon. Alas, they were out of stock on the fish, and they were also out of stock on the smoked salmon I wanted. But I shall go back on Monday while I'm taking care of other errands. I hobbled around the shop picking up some extra festive bits (cheese, dates, pistachio Lindor), the cheese that's a part of a friend's gift and a birthday pressie (chocolate nuts and a pot of hyacinths) for the parental unit.

Minimal stuff available on Yellow Sticker, most of it of no great interest. But I bagged some bread and rolls from the bakery, two bottles of mouthwash from the green bins (which was actually on my shopping list), some green beans and some spring greens.

Came home and listened to Arsenal v Wolves over a supper of soup and an cheese & coleslaw sandwich.

Now have a :cuppa: and am watching MOTD

So soon you'll know how Arsenal can play 5 matches against the top teams in Europe and only concede 1 goal, while Wolves, on temporary secondment from the Championship, can manage to equal those 5 teams.

I enjoy boats and seem to thrive on it when it's rough. I sometimes think I should have gone to sea.

If you don't like a rough sea, don't sail Ballycastle to Campbeltown!

Been to Campbeltown with a variety of boats and in some.less pleasant conditions. You have to have done it to understand.

Who owns the harbour now?

Have they repainted the marker on the seawall recently?
