Good morning from a very overcast, slightly misty and damp Suffolk. Sunday is running a bit later than anticipated due to waking up, switching on the radio and then promptly dozing off again for an hour. Coffee has eventually been had.

This afternoon will be very much like last Sunday - a walk into town, along the seafront and then home. While out I'll redeem the code from earlier in the week and get myself a free large hot chocolate from Cafe Nero. A 2 litre/4 pint bottle of milk (or possibly two depending on the best before date) will also need to be picked up as Monday's shopping trip has been cancelled so I can do something more enjoyable.

Oh dear new TV too wide at mounts to fit on our unit.... So that's not going to work....

When I was looking to replace the TV last time, I could only get one with a central stand as the legs on most of the others would have been too widely spaced to fit on my unit as well.

I still can't get over how mean Bath council are in not putting up Christmas lights. I had expected the place to be well lit with coloured lights but was greeted with nothing! The shops had tried and done their bit but it was a poor show for the city.
I can remember the excitement of seeing my town being lit up when young. In those days it was just coloured lights trailing down the high street but it was enough. Apparently it is the second year that Bath have done nothing!
Well it shows how often we go to Bath. We only go there now for hospital appointments. We used to go nearly every week but since the Modeller's Den closed there hasn't been much of a draw. No lights and another nail in the coffin!

Had that same issue threatened in Harrogate a few year back, traders clubbed together to get some up. Not sure whose they are that are up this year but they are outdone by a light display on a hotel that apparently replicates Harrods.
Washed the cream sofa cover and mistakenly tunble drier it, gone all crinkly and hence binned. Prefer the green one anyway, see about getting another when they are reduced in a sale.
Tesco shopped for a pack of British apples on clubcard @£1.30 and also picked up an equally reduced hand towel.
Car then filled up, Asda now being locally the cheapest and Waitrose shopped using uo £1.50 worth of app vouchers on milk and hake.

Our TV is bolted to the wall, basic wall mount and not stupidly high in fact about the same height as if on a unit. Thing is that gives us much more floorspace with nothing sticking out into the room. 3rd TV to be on the the bracket (in 25 years) and finally I got the style I wanted (without paying 'mortgage money) nice basic 46" 'picture frame' model (Panasonic)

Now when I looked about 20 years ago a 'picture frame' model was about 4.5K, all the normal ones had speakers on the side (just to make em look bigger) and they were OK but only lasted 7-8 years though.....................Which is why it's a waste buying a 5 year 'guarantee'

Just 1.5 hours riding today. The roads are damp, trees dripping and damp in air, but not misty or raining.

No alternate centrally located mount?

Yes but at a premium price so in end we kept the TV unit we had already picked up and brought a slightly bigger TV shelf unit which worked out £100 cheaper than a TV with a central bracket.

Food delivery all covered in spilt milk so loads returned and driver given a flea in his ear as were customer services so now need to go shopping..... Today is not going well

Fair play to Tesco after complaining heavily to customer services they credited an amount to cover the soaked shopping and then an hour later phoned up to arrange a fresh delivery for the chilled tray that was soaked.

So that's been done and we have donated the extra food to a worthy family locally that we know.

Back home with a coffee after a 2.5 hour walk having enjoyed the free hot chocolate on Felixstowe cliff top and a couple of bottles of milk collected on the way back.

A dull, damp and miserable afternoon with not as many people out and about as I'd expected, but looking across the road from the prom you see where they all were - in the cafes with almost all the tables occupied.

FYI:
Samsung think that the most important thing in the world for you is Samsung TV Plus even if you don't want it.. Which we don't!
Very difficult to get rid of it totally apart from buying a different brand.
