Steady walk to local Sainsbury's to stock up on the mince pies I'd like the other day. Given it's 2 packs for £2 I bagged 4 :hungry:

It turned out a nice day after all. I probably should have gone for a ride but felt tired as I haven't really been sleeping that well recently.

I spotted something on Facebook Marketplace that I had always fancied owning, so went and a bought it instead.

Corgi had made a limited run of Leyland Leopard buses in the colours of a local bus company in the 1990s. I had fancied one for a long time. I couldn't afford one when I first saw them back then. They still had these in the road into the early years of the century.

Yesterday and today I have watched the newer versions of "The Railway Children" and I am now very confused.

Towards the end of the film yesterday, there seemed to be an anomally in the time frame. One of the main characters sees a train go past with everyone waving frantically at her. She then walks home, speaks to her mother for a few minutes, and then walks to the station......just as that train arrives at the station.

Today's film shows two emergency stops by trains, and they seem to stop on the proverbial sixpence*. A train travelling at 30 mph will take more that one hundred yards to come to a complete stand or stop.

* other small coins may be available
