I escaped for a 30 mile ride. It's

My walk this morning was in bright sunshine and a bitterly strong breeze and I lost track of time while listening to an interesting podcast interview with Pat Symonds ending up being out for 50 minutes instead of the planned 30 minutes or so. The ebike was used to get to Mum's due to it being a strong headwind for most of the trip and then I was stuck indoors for the next 6 hours. Food (and lots of it) was good though.

The first thing I did when I got home was to make a large mug of decent coffee and sit in almost silence with the radio on quietly in the background.

And it's got to be done all over again with my sister & family in attendance on Saturday.

I am finally caught up with everything and a hot chocolate has been had.

Beer and either a film or the next couple of episodes of Fallout (Series one - I've only just started watching it) to follow shortly.

Fabby supper of slow-roasted lamb breast with garlic & rosemary, beef dripping roasties, steamed green beans and red cabbage braised with apple & orange. Then Christmas pud and cream to finish off.
