Good morning from grey and chilly Suffolk. Coffee, radio and duvet warmth have been enjoyed for most of the morning so far.

A very quiet day is in prospect. I'm undecided as to whether to go for a walk getting some rolls for today's tea while I'm out and then go food shopping on Monday, or whether to get out on the bike and do both things today which will leave Monday free for domestics.

Co-op trek twix coffees. Orange label beef hotpot for this evening plus another longer dated for the freezer and a cottage pie for Tuesday on card & app offers plus half price mince pies.

thanks to chronic gout, which I keep at bay, but it means little to no alcohol. I can splurge for special occasions, but no longer often

I finish off the remaining wine in the chalice at the close of communion each week, that's about it.

A quick pop into town to get bird food supplies.
Pre lunchtime stroll completed.

A new one, a Tesco trek. Sort of an Aldi trek with a different ending. Went for mackerel fillets but sold out so Sea Bass fillets instead. Clubcard £1 off fruit juice made it 25p cheaper than Ocado so thats tomorrows home delivery to edit for the nth time.

A miserably dull day with a very cold breeze with a load of washing being dealt with by the machine while I was out.

Glad I made he decision to go shopping today as Aldi had a 400g pack of lean diced beef at 50% off with a use by date of today - that will be fine for turning into a casserole on Monday which will last me for 3 days. A couple of reduced price Ch****mas chocolate bears were picked up at half price as well as a treat, but nothing else caught my eye.

Leftover cold meats from the past few days will be had in rolls for tea shortly.

Brainwave! Instead of turning the spare room bed back into a sofa use it to sort out all the panic filled boxes. My tidying of it invariably resorts in all sorts of stuff being shoved in any available box available to sort out later. A nice flat area to sort out the boxes on.
