The final, final, deadline for students on my module plus one I'm looking after, is in 10 minutes' time.

Cue the final scramble from nine students on my module of 100 who struggle to manage their time despite using a week extra ... Oh, and I've had two with a 'crisis' in the last 15 minutes as well. The other module has about 20 to submit of 300+

Thing is, I guessed who the ones struggling to meet the deadline would be as they're always late anyway, whereas most of those who submitted early are prepared and organised. Oh, and more employable.

It's the usual suspects syndrome

I would have liked to reply along those lines, but could not think quickly enough.
It was the window cleaner who asked me that. I had not seen him for a while, and wanted to explain why, so told him about my cancer diagnosis.

What could I say? "At night I glow in the dark."
Or "Yes, my cats now have eighteen half lives."

If someone asks me if I smoke, my response is, "No, I just go curly at the edges."

No, but my pee glows in the dark.

Surprise at lunchtime, my front door on an Evri email. Was a display case from Temu at a fraction of the cost from UK suppliers
Post WAH started putting together having found the instructions linked on the Temu web page for it. All plastic assembly but that did at least remove the worry of a slipping screwdriver. Plenty of spare bits should they be needed.
Mid assembly the door was thumped on and then the doorbell rang. Opened the door to find the Amazon order sat there. Obviously a day of quickly vanishing delivery drivers.
Shower mirror quickly located.
Evening shop to Tesco for clubcard prices on oranges and apples plus bananas and milk.

I think it's finally stopped raining. At least the thoroughly miserable wet and dull day means that this week's domestics have been done even if nothing else has. There's a distinct probability that if the weather forecast for Wednesday is correct and it's dry and sunny, I'm sticking a bike into the boot of the car and going somewhere for a ride - if the car starts!

Meanwhile it's time for this evening's hot chocolate and to stop thinking about spending more money on a trip to Nottingham at the end of February to see the Sleaford Mods.
