Finally the weekend so time to catch up on the house work. 1st job is carrying on attacking the mountain of bedding to wash.
once thats done think I will have another and then see about tidying the kitchen.

Well what did I expect for a Pinarello for £50? The chap selling it wasn't gilding the lillies when he said that the frame was in a poor state with paint flaking off, seat post seized, might be of use to someone.
Well I came along. At the time it was up for sale at £70 but seeing that I had shown interest and he wanted space in his shed he said that I could have it for £50. So I didn't hang about.
It was in a bit of a state! If you didn't look at the corrosion it looked pretty good apart from the white measles. The red paint had loads of chips and white undercoat was showing through. The wheel rims looked like they had sat in water as they had corrosion on them but cleaned up with some fine wet and dry. They are Mavic Elite so pretty good. The measles have gone. I touched them in with red paint. The bike rides well and I have since tackled one nasty area of corrosion on the crossbar. The seat tube and down tube need doing hence the need for paint.

I felt up to my full four mile perambulation this morning. So far so good.

I just had my breakfast on a rectangular plate. In a change to normality, the mushrooms were also in a silly wee dish as well as the beans.

If I'd have been somewhere safe I'd have got the Brommie out of the boot & ridden the rest of the way.. 👍
