The morning's good news has been balanced out by bad news in that a gig I was going to go to at the end of the month has been cancelled as one of the duo has decided to step back from the band. At least I've been issued a refund and it was only a day trip up the A140 not an away day with hotel & rail costs.

I think an earlyish hot chocolate is called for.

I got a bit grumpy tonight driving home from work.
It was the usual dark dank roads outside with the light starting to fade, when i came across a tractor cutting the hedge row in front.
It was on a fast moving A road.
I've got no problem with that because they've got to be done at some point.
My issue was this local farmer wasn't just trimming the hedge back but was hacking the living daylights out of it with no guard on the machine.
It was literally sending branches all over the road.
Cars coming in the opposite direction were swerving around them trying to avoid the debris.
I held right back to avoid the flying branches and navigate my car around the mess on the road.
Eventually a chance came to get pass the annoying tractor, and just as I got passed I could hear a loud scrapping noise from underneath the car.
I'd obviously collected up some larger debris and it was now wedged underneath my iron chariot.
I had no choice but to pull over on front of the tractor on the busy road and fish out a large branch and various sized rubbish from underneath it.
Not impressed I gave the tractor driver a piece of my mind.
He argued his innocence to which I asked him why are you cutting too deep into the hedge row sending large branches across the highway, wheres the safety deflector guards, wheres the road warning signs which should ideally be used on a busy A road
What if I was disabled and couldn't remove all the debris from underneath my car or motorcyclists travelling along here..
By now the traffic had backed right up ,and a another driver was out of his car venting his anger at the tractor driver.
I got home feeling quite grumpy.
Incidentally the tractor driver made a hasty getaway turning off into the adjacent field after our alltication 🤣
