Good morning from a very dull and soggy Suffolk. Very heavy rain at bedtime last night and it started up again about an hour ago. Coffee has been had after a very good night's sleep.

Bedding change and other domestics today given that it doesn't look like I'm going anywhere thanks to the weather.

SWMBO wants picking up as she got a lift to both hospitals she's at today for work. After which my late father-in-law's optical equipment is being donated to the hospital museum in Wakefield.

It's travelled: Ireland ~ Libya ~ South Africa ~ Northern Ireland and finally to Wakefield as part of their tactile equipment display visitors can play with, after which it goes on the hospital museum circuit.

He'd be pleased with that.

Well that was an interesting few hours at hospital. So told my weekly review with the Dr was 1pm, 1.30 still no word so went to ask told I was down to see them after my radiotherapy which was down for 3pm. Explained had letter saying 1pm , they go away and tell the Dr. Finally got to see him 2.30. Told to have some bloods done and to go to pharmacy. Trun out radiotherapy was running late so I went to get my bloods , no one around waited and waited finally someone came. My lift went off to pharmacy turned out they'd not got the script yet.
Finally got my radiotherapy at 3.20. Fast forward and got home at 4.30 I left at 11.30 time for rest some tea and :cuppa:.

Departmental day with management in Northallerton. Did get a lift to and from.
Place was cold this am and two luke warm coffees did not help. Heating did appear to be on in the afternoon but the only drink available was water.
One hot mug of tea just drunk.

A mild and mostly soggy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, and overslept massively. Whoops! But I guess if your body says you need sleep, you need sleep. Scudded through the chores on fast forward, and that's pretty well much the only thing I've done today.

Had a lovely luncheon of the last of the pork pie, then sourdough bread with brie, plus a pear, an apple and a :cuppa:

I've had a quiet afternoon going through photos. Oh, and I did have to replace the ceiling light bulb in the sitting room. Annoyingly, I only replaced it a few weeks back, so suspect a manufacturing fault. Hey ho. Went to find another in the cupboard only to find out that the pack I bought for spares was 60w rather the 100w that I *thought* I bought. So had to do a switcheroo, with the 60w now in the dining room fixture and the 100w from there into the sitting room. 60w isn't bright enough for mum to do her crafting.

Will go shopping tomorrow and buy a pack of 100w, and then the 60w bulb can go into the hallway where the bulb went *ping* on Saturday night. That bulb was an old tungsten filament one, and has lasted a while. Replaced with another tungsten temporarily so that I'm not fumbling in the dark when I need firewood.

I only have three remaining tungsten lightbulbs in the house, but they're all in low-use areas so it's no biggie. The bulbs themselves are proving stubbornly long-lived.

Have just watched the early evening news. A certain yankee politician is definitely living in Wolkenkuckukcksheim and obviously doesn't grasp the concept that "No" is a complete sentence.
