I was right - less than an hour before the drizzle/rain started and it's been continuous since. Add in it being so dull that I either have to put the lights on or sit with my back to the window to have enough light to read.

More coffee has been had with a cheese and pickle roll just for something to do.

Likewise in Stowmarket. Monday and Tuesday were the best days, well at least dry. Just gloom and doom and that`s without watching the news ! Tomorrow looks good Jenkins, make it a mega ride, I`ll try. Last one was last Sunday. I even ordered a new grub screw for the front brake, just to give me something to do.

It's been a grey and damp day here chez Casa Reynard. Not outright rain, just mizzle that came and went.

Did not sleep well, as my back decided to protest matters somewhat. My left elbow is also not co-operating today and not extending fully. That's an arse, as I'm left-handed. Had the usual choresy morning, but had added busyness dealing with last night's shopping. The bread has been double-bagged, the rolls divided up into sensible small batches and bagged, the pastries are now in airtight tupperwares, the veg has been stored and the non-food items and cupboard staples have been put away where they belong.

Lovely luncheon of sourdough bread & butter with homemade gravlax, a banana, a pear and a :cuppa:

Busy afternoon. Turned yesterday's YS cos lettuces and parsley into a pot of soup along with some other bits from my store, and then did all the prep for this evening's supper and topped up the wood bins in the house.

I have however, misplaced my garage keys. I do have a spare set, but it's annoying. Can you all look to see if they're not in the weird place where all the CC lost stuff always seems to end up?

Just having a nice :cuppa: whilst watching the early evening news. Still have a couple of bits to do later, but yeah. It was supposed to be a *quiet* day.

I took advantage of a bit of a lull in the weather, the cloud had broken up a bit some blue sky appeared so I cycled over to see my brother. There was quite a head wind on the way out as well as a lot of water lying on the roads, there were snow drops in flower along the lanes.
Snowdrops, you were lucky ! Have not seen any yet but I have seen daffodils. Bazaar

The rain finally stopped mid afternoon so i managed to get out for a hour's walk - unfortunately timed just to miss avoiding the local comprehensive turning out so had to put up with schoolkids and badly parked cars for a few minutes. Very little else has been done today.

The evening's hot chocolate has just been made and I'm sat with a separate window open on the PC with a hotel booking page and gig ticket booking page on separate tabs just waiting for me to transfer the funds from the savings account to the current account before hitting the 'Book Now' buttons.

I'm hoping for the forecast good weather on Saturday, the only problem is the wind direction. I'm a couple of miles from the coast and hemmed in by two rivers, so effectively the only way out is north or north west which is fine with the expected south easterly. Unfortunately the return leg will be straight into it. If I’d not already had one day out this week, I'd be doing a one way ride through Stowmarket and on to Bury St. Edmunds for lunch and a train ride home.

-17C here, but sunny. Let us not discuss the wind. Must save the expletives for politics.
