I have a colonoscopy scheduled for late tomorrow morning. This means that, after 4 days of a low fibre diet, I've now got a day's fasting ahead of me. It also means that I have started fantasising about food even though I'm not even hungry. Luckily they appear to have ignored the fact that coffee has a surprisingly large fibre content though white coffee drinkers won't be quite as happy because milk is off limits.

It's here as well. I can just see the other side of the valley which is about 500m away. This is an improvement on the situation a few hours ago.

Good morning from Suffolk where the normal service of full cloud cover and occasional rain has resumed.

Coffee has been had and that's about it so far today. Very little else to do for the rest of the day either, except to pop out at some point to get something to have for tea later and to set the satnav up in the car for Monday's outing just in case as the inbuilt unit is now over seven years out of date.

I've had to change a train trip booking for a Sunday in February due to a rail replacement bus service being added due to late notice engineering work. As a result I leave here an hour earlier, but still get to the destination at the same time.

Raining again. Lidl at Knaresborough shopped for specials sold out at the local one; long sleeved thermal top and 'adhesive remover' (presume its the same as Sticky Stuff remover). Also picked a new shower head and hose for the price of a hose elsewhere. Current shower head has gone not that good looking yellow.

My FB feed today is full of people posting Burns stories, makes a change from people/bots trying to sell me things.

The shopping has been done and the car set up and given a quick run to make sure it's ready for tomorrow.

I've also been out for what's turning into a regular Sunday stroll in the dull, damp, miserable and cold conditions we've been having recently into town for a free hot drink, along the seafront and back. Unsurprisingly there weren't many people out and about.
