Good morning from a very dull, wet and miserable Suffolk.
I've been awake since stupid o'clock for some unknown reason and just couldn't get back to sleep, even with the radio on at its lowest setting in the background to distract my brain. On the bright side, the washing machine is near to finishing off a load of towels and I've booked a ticket & hotel for yet another night away. This year it seems like I'll be spending quite a few nights away in Manchester instead of Leeds.
Things to be done later are a bedding change, some ironing and, once it stops raining, a quick trip into town to get a couple of birthday cards. More coffee will be required before any of that though.

My brother just popped round!
Postie brought the new iron. Snow at first but too wet for it to settle. Back to rain which seems to have washed away the rust on the drive. Have had a squealing break on the car when reversing which indicated rust on the pad

Some people are so kind when it really matters both his wife and my normal lift to hospital are ill so can't take me. They even offered to pay for a taxi to take me , both me and Mrs 73 are having none of that. As Mrs 73 is working she's pre booked and pay for a taxi to take me. So I don't have to worry about it, talking of which better get ready.

I have had an interrupted sleep! I woke up and heard our front door bell. The 2 stray parcels arrived the delivery man apologised and said would I like him to carry them in for me. I said I could manage. I didn't know that each box contained a ships anchor!
