Just got £2.10 credited by the Co-op to my members card. Last week picked up a cottage pie and beef hotpot, which should be £6 for the two but because I found the same also in the reduced section i only got a reduction of 4p!

yum. :hungry: our local grocery store has started selling fully cooked & still hot small shepherds pies & chicken pot pies

It's been an occasionally sunny and at times spring-like day here chez Casa Reynard.

Did not sleep well. Just over-tired and stiff after yesterday, which included seven hours of driving and a good three quarters of an hour's hilly walking. Kept waking up because I was uncomfortable, and then it took me ages to drop off each time. And I overslept. All I've done today are the basic chores.

Lovely luncheon of crusty bloomer, ham, ossau-iraty cheese, an apple, a pear and a :cuppa:

Spent the afternoon having a damn good girly pamper session. Boy, that felt good, as I've not had one since I did my leg in. But now that I've in the last day been able to *finally* ditch the dressings, I figured I'd treat myself. Yep, leg doesn't look pretty - it's still red and lumpy bumpy, there's bits of it that's sore and bits of it that have no feeling at all, but given where I started from, I'll take that.

I think I shall spend the evening writing. and editing the photos from yesterday. They're not great, as the light had gone, but hey ho.

Happy Cake day to Mrs @Illaveago :birthday:

Rather unsurprisingly, it's raining heavily here.

Only got half an hour's kip this afternoon, mostly due to the pint of squash & mug of Ovaltine Chocolate when I got home from shopping needing to be got rid of. I'm thinking of having an early hot chocolate and then celebrating the end of Dry January, even though I've not been taking part.

Our builder fuX0red up a £4,500 oak staircase by not having a clue how to install it, and pointedly saying, "oh, here are the instructions, we won't be reading those." 90 years of combined experience led to arrogance. I am sacking him - he was going to do our kitchen next - and he won't get a penny. The staircase manufacturer said it was the worst attempt at fitting they have ever seen, and are kindly supplying free replacements for the split treads and risers (used wrong size wedges and didn't drill pilot holes in oak) and are sending one of their own people to take it all apart and fix it, at very modest cost.
