It's not actually raining but it's a really dreich morning. My sinuses seem to be acting up today and I have a headache.

The council have dug up all the footpaths again and sent pedestrians on a detour. I'm sure it all makes sense to someone in the council!

Just waiting on my breakfast.

Good morning from Suffolk where the early morning blue sky to the west is slowly being covered in cloud from the east. At least it's not raining.

Coffee has been had after a better night's sleep than yesterday. Some top quality bacon has been removed from the freezer which means I'm off shopping in a little while for some rolls to put it in for tea this evening. Hopefully the non-raining weather will hold for the afternoon so that I can get out for a couple of hours in the countryside.

Thank you to everyone who posted encouraging comments, and/or virtual hugs, over the past few days.

I am very much hoping that the "nothing untoward" result means that further tests. scans, biopsies and operations are ruled out.

I forgot to mention the other reasons that I was time travelling to that hospital. I managed to park easily and a short distance from the right department.

The parking spaces were generous, so that if you parked in the middle of the space, you could easily open the car door fully, and most people had parked in the middle, not the very edge, of their space.

I think I've earned the bacon rolls that I'm having for tea. While I was out shopping this morning the sun made a proper appearance. Seduced by this and after a quick lunch I went back out on the bike, but unfortunately the sunshine didn't last and the cloud cover returned. The good news is that I am now home with a total of 50 miles under the wheels today and am going to treat myself to a long soak in a hot bath rather than have a shower.

My younger brother has been messaging me all day. Looking at picking up a second hand bike so he can take his son for rides on the Middlewood way - he's looking at a Carrera Vengeance - sopme crazy prices though, people wanting north of £200 for a £300-£350 new price. We have one in the house, my sons, and it's been a great bike - must be about 14 years old now.

Anyway he's off to a farm in Macclesfield to look at one for £100. Looks OK from photos. It will come via my house for a full service though.

After actually getting the washing machine working, im behind with laundry. Good load in, washed, out on the line while its breezy and bright. That was 2 hours ago perhaps.
Girls just came in...ughh, it raining.
Arghhh, jump up washing off the line in double time, wet feet but managed to stop the worst.
Now finishing in the tumble dryer so not a complete loss.

Day no getting nowhere with my wifi printer. Thought being offline might be fixed by installing a firmware update and reistalling the wibdows software but no. Did run a troubleshooter which fixed it briefly but a new problem of printing in greyscale only unless its a test print emerged.
Maybe its saying its 8 years old and wants replacing.
Otherwise its been a turning dry and sunny at times day. An Aldi trek was undertaken; noticeable tyat cornflower has strunk in size.

I have to photo the car I'm driving as well as the level. Have access to several cars, types, colours. Total pain at the parking payment for a confused old twerp.

There used to be a car park in Preston which was symmetrical with a staircase at either end - but they didn’t go to the same floors, one went odd, the other even iirc.
I went down one and then up the other when I returned. Major panic when my car was, apparently, not where I left it

Reminds me of a Trent Polytechnic building that was two attsched four sided structures around open courtyards (one side being common to each). Walk into the wrong one abd you were quickly confused made more so by each having at differen levels one side blocked off as a through route
Definitely had enough of this wifi printer. It did start behaving, printed two documents in colour only for it then be "in an error state" when trying to print a third.

It's been a bright and almost spring-like day here chez Casa Reynard, though weather app now says it's raining.

Sleep was middling at best, not entirely sure why. Feel a bit meh. All I've done today were the chores in the morning - all the usual stuff, plus I went through my fruit stores. I have three tangerines that are in need of eating (tonight's dessert!), plus some dinged cooking apples and the remaining three quince pears - which are quite distressed. Later on, I shall cut up the apples and quinces, throw in the last chilli that's in the fridge and cook that up to make a couple of jars of jelly.

Lovely luncheon of crusty bloomer, ham and gruyere cheese, plus an apple, a banana and a :cuppa:

Had a good bum park this afternoon listening to Leeds v Arsenal. Extending apologies to @deptfordmarmoset about the result.

A quiet evening is planned.
