On the way back from the shop it was raining, passed a bus shelter where one lass was under the shelter and a younger lass was standing out in the rain.
Am I missing something about the 'youger generation's' abilities or is it inabilities - ?

well, there is that expression: "too dumb to come in out of the rain"

but I miss being a fun dumb kid sometimes

Some folks actually like being out in the rain. The Ronettes and Scott Walker each made their own versions of 'Walking In The Rain." That sounds appealing to me, but I do like being under an umbrella in the rain when walking. I have also gone out riding in the rain, wearing only a pair of shorts. The last time I did it, a couple of months ago, I pulled what I thought were swim trunks out of the drawer and went riding. I noticed, while riding, that the fly didn't have a zipper or buttons. They were tartan boxer shorts.

Then last year, while on a rain ride, I rode through a very deep puddle about a foot deep on a flooded road. A couple of weeks later, while servicing the chain, I noticed water dripping out of the BB shell. I tipped the bike up and it came pouring out. So that made a BB removal necessary. (That's not rust around the shell.)

OK, I’m officially fed up now. We crossed the channel rocked by Storm Joseph. We drove down through France and Spain battered by Storm Kristin and arrived in the Algarve just before Storm Leonardo. Today Storm Marta is arrived. Had to drive through a heavy hailstorm to take friend back to the airport.

Good weather arrives on Thursday. We’ll be heading home Wednesday 😡

It's been a grey, miserable and decidedly squelchy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well enough. Had the usual choresy morning, although that was preceded by some kitchen time to load the crock pot for tonight's supper, and followed by the putting away of yesterday's shopping. I also kept an eye on the curling.

Had a lovely luncheon of a turkey sandwich, a tangerine (which had nine pips in!), a pear and a :cuppa:

This afternoon's tasks involved roasting some vegetables to add to the crock pot later, stocking up all the wood bins in the house as I am away for much of tomorrow, having a girly pamper session and enjoying some play time with the cat.

I am currently sat down by the fire with a :cuppa: and a Min Spy.

This evening's plans involve watching the opening ceremony for the winter olympics.
