Wil it snow or just rain tomorrow and what will me like going over the top? Conclusion tomorrows Skipton office team meeting will be joined by Teams.
Sainsbury's shopped this evening instead of tomorrow. Slightly problematic getting there as to start off the handbrake would not release and then blue lights all over a road which was closed. A RTA apparently which may or may not have involved a bus

I've had a very quiet few days where little has happened, mundane or otherwise. The weather has mostly been very wet this week.

I had a peaceful few days at work as the wicked witch of the west was off Monday and Tuesday but she was back today with a barrage of emails telling us how useless we are.

I've just booked some theatre tickets for the coming weeks.

Not a good late afternoon.
Even after nearly two hours the kitchen floor hadn't dried, so I had to bring the bathroom towels down and dry a small area so I could cook tea.
While tea was cooking I got the overnight bag downstairs to check the food I'd brought would fit in (it did) but I got distracted by the spuds almost boiling over and knocked the bag onto the kitchen floor breaking the little jar of coffee inside which then spread some of it onto the damp area that I'd not dried.
No time to clean it up as tea was ready, so some stuck to the floor while I was eating.
Needing the floor to be cleaned again. and then the hunt for another small jar to put some coffee in*

The evening's hot chocolate is just reaching drinking temperature.

*Thankfully I'd finished a jar of mustard last week so retrieved this from the 'take to the bottle bank' box and then a hunt in the recycling bin in the dark for the lid.

Apologies for yesterday's absence, but I was feeling really ghastly after a night of no sleep. Two months of walking wonky thanks to the hole in my left leg has really fubared the muscles of my lower back and my hip flexors. And the damp weather is just compounding the problem.

The wound itself is healed externally, but I've muscle atrophy and the whole shebang is still quite sore. Really folks, I would not recommend sticking a tree branch through your leg. Far too much trouble.

Better night's sleep last night though, probably because I was absolutely shattered. Had a quiet-ish day today. Still had to do all the chores, but I made a nice batch of kipper pate using the No 1 kippers I'd picked up on YS from the fish counter in Waitrose (highly recommended, btw), and then used the skin, bones and heads to make fish stock, which was then used to make a big pot of leek, potato & red lentil soup. The salty, smoky stock was just the ticket.

Took a portion of the kipper pate to a friend. I gave her some of my Keralan-style veggie curry the other day when she came to pick up her yellow sticker bits, and she said she enjoyed it very much. I had kitty cuddles at her place, and doggy cuddles, and I came home with some posh dried food for Madam Boo, as her lot turn their little noses up at it, even Mia the oriental, who I swear must've been a labrador in a previous life LOL.

My show reports from Saturday are now up on the GCCF website if anyone fancies a peruse.

Been really enjoying the action from Milan-Cortina. Nice early evening watching the luge and the curling.

Am sat by the fire surfing the net and supping a :cuppa: in the company of Madam Boo.

I have a headache. time for meds & my frozen head wrap
