Good morning from Suffolk where the weather appears to me making amends for yesterday's dry day. Very wet, chilly and generally miserable. Coffee has been had.

Unusual sight this morning from the kitchen window - I heard the sound of a freight loco on the rail line which was unusual in itself as there's no freight movements on a Sunday and looked out to see 2 of the old class 66s then 2 of the new class 99s pulling a full 36 wagon container load so it looks like trial runs of the new units are being held on the line.

Other than that it's been the normal mundane start to the day. I'll need to go out at some point to get the food in for today and the week ahead and, given the weather, the car will be used which will allow me to get some diesel for this evening's trip up to Norwich.

Snow has disappeared overnight but still very cold with some sleet showers. Project shed completed, and my hand hurts from driving about five billion screws. Nothing was pre-drilled and they were surprisingly difficult to get started in tough plastic. I suppose they assume everyone uses an electric screwdriver nowadays.

Tried to get the case off the popping Roberts radio thinking it might be something obvious like a swollen capacitor. Despite all the fixing screws being removed still appeared to held somehow at the bottom. Running a plastic wedge around it did not seem to indicate a clip fit anywhere.
New Phillips radio ordered to collect from tomorrow at Argos, in their sort of Amazon Prime sale with a 20% off code.
