Itching to get back on my bike's

. They gave me the option of either remaining with the car until help possibly arrived (no chance - I was frozen) or they would pay for a taxi home and I could re-book the breakdown this morning and home for a better time slot. And they've just told me they've booked recovery for 11:15 when the earliest I can get there is 11:45. Will get the next train and wait (again).
Good morning from Suffolk - for a little while.
Update from yesterday/early today - after multiple phone calls the RAC finally admitted that they couldn't get anybody out to attend to the car until gone 8am this morning despite their promises that help was on the way. They gave me the option of either remaining with the car until help possibly arrived (no chance - I was frozen) or they would pay for a taxi home and I could re-book the breakdown this morning and home for a better time slot.
Which is why I'm currently in the queue on the phone having finally got back here at quarter to six this morning and had a couple of hours kip.
Coffee has been had and at least it's sunny.
Ouch that's not good news on either front
Presume you got a taxi home last night
It could be another long day for you by the sound of it.
No more coffee until home just in case - the bushes in the area had enough 'watering' last night.Epic in all the wrong ways. Hope you manage to meet up with the RAC today. Coffee in the vacuum flask....

I live next to the Ely - March - Peterborough mainline in a former railwayman's cottage. It used to be the residence for a level crossing keeper before the line (and the crossing) was moved to the other side of the road.
All I need to do is look out of the window to see stuff going past.
