Good morning from Suffolk where it's been a sunny start to the day, but with high cloud now starting to block it. Coffee has been had and the overnight bag placed by the front door ready for today's outing. In an hour's time I leave to start the journey to Newcastle (via Leeds saving a few £££) to see Mogwai at The Glasshouse.


Thank you for this - I have a few hours in London in March and I've not been to the Science Museum for many years so this may be something to do.

Though it's free you need to book a ticket with a time slot. It's not a big issue I don't think they take much notice when it's not busy. You've plenty to pick from. We arrived early so just booked some more with earlier time. The free map is handy helps you find your way round as some exhibitions are tucked away from main galleries. Some of the free exhibitions you need to book free tickets again just to manage the numbers.

Ar5e - they've cancelled the Ipswich bound train due to 'a supermarket trolley on the line'!
Now on the bus to Ipswich and will work out my opinions from there as I'll have missed the connection for Peterborough and everything after that.

It's not turned out too bad after all. I've spent more time than even a trainspotter would consider normal looking at options from Peterborough or Leeds to Newcastle as the second leg was purchased as a stand alone ticket from TPE. Just as we approached Peterborough, I finally spotted Grantham to Newcastle for under £10 (after using a couple of pounds LNER credit) with my existing ticket valid to Grantham.

With the £13 delay repay for the original cancellation I'll break even allowing for the bus fare to Ipswich and only arrive 10 minutes later than originally scheduled.

On Tuesday, I had a friend helping me to start clearing the clutter in the garage. After ninety minutes I had to stop.

We had managed to fill the recycling bin up to the brim. That was collected today, and we nearly filled the black bin, leaving just enough space for some more rubbish that is destined for the incinerator.

Yes there is more to go, but bear in mind that I have lived here for thirty years.

Waiting time for my ENT appointment that was to be 6 months & due now has become 18 months ie. another year away..

Off to the Pharmacy to pick up my prescription ordered Tuesday & ready after 2 days. Nope, not even got it yet..
Into the docs to chase it up. It'll be ready tomorrow afternoon 🤞
