If this weather doesn't improve I can see the afternoon being spent on the sofa with the radio and a book.

Shopping has been done despite a very stiff and chilly breeze and constant dampness in the air. There was a bit of competition in the fom of a free iced doughnut courtesy of Lidl's free bakery spin. Coffee and a toasted very thick sliced loaf end crust are being had.

40 years ago today my dad died,on my mum's birthday. How hard was that for her.It was 05-30 when the police knocked on my door.A massive heart attack took him.He was also heavy,me and my brother helped carry the body bag downstairs as the two guys could not lift him, they were bumping the body.sadly no tears i had long stopped loving him.Even now i have mixed don't care feelings. He pitted me against my brother and its only about three years ago we opened up about it,he even used to say hurtful things about my brothers then gf who is now his wife,he left home because of his bad tongue. No feeling either way today.

A day of four seasons here chez Casa Reynard. Some of the post-prandial showers have been biblical.

Did not sleep well thanks to bunged sinuses. I did eventually drop off, and I slept in. Had the usual choresy morning, and I also put away yesterday evening's shopping.

Lovely luncheon of ciabatta, salami milano, an apple, some grapes and a :cuppa:

Topped up the firewood in the house, and then had a quiet afternoon listening to the football and doing some writing.

Now sitting down with a :cuppa: and watching the early evening news.

Evening.
The weather brightened up this afternoon. Sunshine , blue sky and a few clouds, the wind was still a bit chilly.
This morning I made a tool to try to remove my seized crank. I bought a brick bolster yesterday and today I ground it down so that the blade was angled to form a wedge, I then cut a slot in it to clear the BB axle. I tried the tool on the drive side crank and after a few hits the crank came off. The non drive side is being a bit more temperamental, I need to open the slot some more.
