Vanessa went for an MOT. The garage phoned
My credit card has gone into hiding.

There is the matter of the need to replace the cam belt. Not for MOT, but it's just that time in the life cycle
Had budgeted that.

Suspicions over the brakes were correct. Result is an advisory.
Had not budgeted that. But might as well get it done.

I'm lucky that I can run a contingency fund for Vanessa so I'm sort of buffered.

So, Sunday was grey and I was downcast and feeling unsure whether I could face chemo- and radiation therapy. Yesterday was sunny and springlike, so I upped and offed to Horsey to see the sea and the seals. Lots of courting warblers and a couple of apparently drunk bumble bees haphazarding around too. That changed my mood completely. Plus I've been handed over to Guys and St Thomas hospital trust and they seem to know what they are doing, so while I'm not quite fighting fit, I've at least got a bit of fight back.

I even managed to get to the shops without a jacket. That's a first for this year.

I had a blood test today. Tomorrow is more jabs, and collect the prescription.

It's been a dry and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, but cool, with a nagging light easterly breeze.

Slept pretty well. The usual choresy morning was had. Fruit bowls were refilled, ingredients were sorted out for tonight's supper and the firewood bins in the house were topped up.

Had a lovely luncheon of the last of the ciabatta with some gammon, then an apple, a tangerine and a :cuppa:

Did some food prep for this evening, and then treated myself to a bicycular bimble - the first this year, and the first since I impaled my leg on a broken branch at the beginning of December.

Dusted off Rocky the Hardtail, pumped up his tyres and did a five mile loop to Pymoor. Took it slow and steady, and made it home before I ran out of steam. Should've worn a warmer jacket and gloves though, as it was decidedly chilly out there.

Better go and finish sorting supper I suppose.

Day 1 of 3 working this week and immediately followed by a slower than recent spinning session as I put the indoor bike like thingy on setting 7 rather than 6 out of 8 in increasing resistance. Had been taking it easy due to the twisted ankle I had.
Watch YouTube via a Google Chromecast on a monitor which is not that loud so have adopted wearing headphones. That was until their was a distinct tug and I realised the cable had got rapped around a peddle crank. Freed it but the headphones are dead and the cable oddly is very bare right by its plug. Think I need to buy some Bluetooth ones with todays £100 National Savings prize.
Evening Sainsbury's shop midway through which my mobile changed it theme. Thought it was in low battery mode but 75% charge.
Gave the car half a tank of the expensive stuff before it becomes more expensive
