Washing up done. The rest of today is dedicated to writing and relaxation. There may be some Dubai chocolate involved.

I'm a bit narked that the half price 'satsumas' I picked up at Aldi yesterday are actually what they call "Wonky Oranges" - as in undersized. In my defence the "50% OFF" sticker completely covered the label so I was going by the look of them. Being oranges they are what satsumas aren't - difficult to peel and remove all the pith, full of pips and not very sweet - but I'm not going to waste £1 and am determined to finish both packs of five.

Other than that it's not been a bad day despite that wind which was stronger & colder than it looked. Got the washing whirlygig dried, got the card from town, had a bike ride which makes it all eight bikes finally ridden this year and an Ebay purchase was delivered and test fitted.

To finish the day off I'm just about to have the evening's hot chocolate which has reached drinking temperature, then I'll be putting my feet up with a cold beer or two and then F1 qualifying and some of the support race action from Australia last week.

Work finished and a week off. Not happy with postie, Council Tax bill delivered, up 5.3%.
Parish element up 23%.
Double whammy on bad news from the postie yesterday here - got my Council Tax bill as well with the 5% increase in one envelope and in the other was a local election leaflet from Reform with Nigel Porridge gurning out on the front.
That was followed by yet another flyer from the same 'not getting my vote' lot featuring the same gurning idiot being stuffed through my letterbox this morning.

I am having fish tacos for supper. Mrs. GA, being more low church, is having chicken. I am closer to Anglo Catholic, so I prefer fish on Fridays, although I would eat fish a few more days a week if that were in the cards.

Packed this evening for a day's race marshalling in Derbyshire tomorrow - I'm helping out at the Peak 2 Day road race which is south of Buxton on Saturday and near Holmfirth on Sunday. But I'm marshalling for one day only.

It'll be a very early start to get there, with the men's race late morning, then the women's in the afternoon as they have an earlier time trial.
