Yesterday while I was busy tidying the garage, the postman was delivering some mail. Yes, so mundane I know. He nearly always wears shorts. Even more mundane.

Yesterday he was wearing trousers, and before I could think about it, I said, "I didn't recognise you in trousers".

Fortunately he saw the funny side, and said I had "made his day" and he would tell his wife what I said.

Morning thought on this, its probably Leeds which is actually Leeds City which in turn was a merging of Leeds New and Leeds Wellington

Strong cold wind and sunny with the occasional shower but the washing dried.
Tried tackling the 76p clamp with a saw but it was a slow progess in attempting to make a slot to hold the ebikes controller. Progress was stopped when it occurred to me the half clamp that is part of the controller casing might be stuck in place with exterior double sided tape. Rummaging so far has failed to find any so it could be a Toolstation visit tomorrow.

I think you need to start putting yourself first a bit more Postie. If you go under with the stress who’s going to be looking after FiL then. You might just want to mention this.

Went to Lidl earlier today. Needed tomatoes among the other stuff. Went around the veggie isle twice. No tomatoes. None. Like zero. Not just zero but big fat zero. Not even a lonely tomato ghost. When I asked staff said "supply issues". Apparently it was the same yesterday already.
Went to small Tesco. A few packs of small vine tomatoes left. Woohoo, mission accomplished.
I can't live without tomatoes - they are like bread to me.

It is more the idiots who chuck random rubbish into those bins, a load of fag ends ain't gonna go up but crisp/nut packets or 'fast food' bags will burn like a bonfire. :cursing:

I definitely get the point, but when I smoked, I would always have made sure it was extinguished before putting it into one of those things.

In the smoking area where I used to work, there were holes in the wall where something had once been screwed there and the rawlplugs were removed. Some use to push cigarette butts into the holes. It ended up with the cavity wall insulation catching fire inside the cavity, building evacuation, and fire brigade being called! People do stupid things with cigarette ends.
