Can peeps remember the old Ever Ready front lights from the 60's and 70's? I seem to remember the light from them as being a bright central spot surrounded by a bright ring of light. A bit like half of the 2 light rings used by the Mysterons in Captain Scarlet. They didn't produce much light, it's a wonder how we survived!

The one with the big flat battery with brass “ears” and the switch you had to screw down? No, don’t remember that 😉

Dreadful things, the rear light wasn't that much better either and that huge battery for the front light seemed to run out far too quickly.

Good morning from Suffolk which is basking under clear skies and being cooled down by the sea breeze here to the east.

Coffee has been had and once breakfast has been had I think I'm going to head for Bury St. Edmunds by bike for lunch. As it's the Easter break the local college is shut so there shouldn't be a problem with space on the train back as the later ones can get quite busy with students if I miss the 15:00 departure.

I just nodded off while listening to the NASA feed while sat in bed with the laptop.

Nunnight one and all xxx 👋

I'm inclined to nod off over this over-hyped drive around the block.....

Note to media: We have boldly been there before, humans have in fact seen the far side of the moon before and we've even mapped it. So can we drop the Star Trek refs and the idea that this crew are seeing things no-one has seen?....in a word....Apollo.
