Once shopping had been shopped this morning, a lazy day ensued. (Slight hiccup as we had to return to the shops to find MrsPete's mislaid spectacles that were eventually found in the boot of the car... Don't ask 😂)
Short walkies with Bonnie on our return then a sit in the sunshine in the garden to read my book & drink coffee for an hour or so.. 👌

It's irritating that the various 'powers that be' automatically assume that EVERYONE is fully IT / internet etc. literate and puts more & more stuff online with various apps and so on so we can 'save time & effort' by doing it ourselves at our own convenience.
Rather like assuming that all lad can fix a car and all lasses can sew and make clothes.
My example is I had to arrange to open a new bank account in order to transfer my late sister's accounts into for probate.
I was in the only branch of said bank in the city, a long standing banking business and in a pretty imposing building.
Could I open an account there - ?
No chance, I had to go home and download the app and then navigate my way through all the checks & security hoops to do so,
Later on, I had to phone the banks bereavement team who wanted a serial number from the new account. As it was on my cellphone, I had no Idea how to carry on talking to the lass and check the new banking app at the same time. Apparently, it can be done, but I'm clueless as to how.
I'm 72 and do not have the 'expected' IT knowledge that many assume that everyone apparently has.
Not impressed. :cursing:

How can you do nothing all day and be tired. So we left Leeds at 10-07 to drive to the fish and chip shop near Blackpool. Then off to the Garden Centre for coffee and cake, then called at the house, someone has been in and fiddled with the central heating control switch, they have disconnected it,so through winter the house has had no heat.Right Thursday is supposed to be cash handing over day,if 'we' not me don't hear anything 'we' are going to instruct a solicitor to find out who authorised and who disconnected the central heating without seeking permission.Thursday is going to be interesting.Anyway home at 17-30 and i am listless,i am having a pint of 00 Guinness then having an early night,i have two very small veg beds to weed tomorrow and i am told it might be hot and humid similar to Drago's y fronts.

@simongt i feel your pain and anguish as this is the kind of thing that seems to be happening more and more with leass care for the customer being shown

Shimano pedals I bought at the weekend had a folded A1 sheet of paper referring to instructions on line. For the length of text in each language they could have printed some basic instructions, assuming a purchaser might actually need them.

Evening Sainsburys shop primarily for apples cheapish milk. Total was less than half thanks to Nectar points.
