Without getting too political, can anyone explain, in a nutshell, what the 25th Amendment means please?

Post WAH it was sunny. Tackled the eBike again, controller seemed too wobbly with the self adhesive tape and that was with it also tape stuck to another handlebar mount at its unsupported end.
Decided to see if I could ease the cable out of the frame. YouTube videos show a cover being undone which reveals a bigger frame opening. Not on this one, cable pulled out a bit then stuck. Plainly the connector but with the other cables in the way did not want to pull anymore in case it unplugged with one end still in the frame.
Had another go with 76p clamp attacking it. with a mini drill and cutting / trimming bits. Seened favourable but ultimately whilst well camped to the controller the whole was loose on the handlebar. Wrapping insulation tape on the bar had the opposite effect; of it now not tightening up right.
Um... Only one thing left to try. Holes drilled in the remaining attached parts of the controller handlebar clamp and the controller now seems to be successfully cable tied in place.
Was now overcast and chilly.

I've been experimenting with 85% cocoa chocolate. Green & Black's 90g only lasts half the time the 100g Lindt does. This is not necessarily a criticism.

The Lindt has a finer, harder texture and it takes a while before the full taste develops for my taste buds. The G&B is a bit meltier, almost coarse textured compared to the Lindt. It is however softer, sweeter and the flavour develops more quickly.

It's been a cool and grey day here chez Casa Reynard.

Short changed on sleep again, and I feel bloody awful. Hay fever not helping. Took a :cuppa: back upstairs and did some writing. At a decent hour, got up and did the chores. Put away yesterday's non-fridgeable shopping and did a load of laundry.

A cheese sandwich, a banana yoghurt and a pot of tea for luncheon.

Then a quiet afternoon watching the horse racing. My get-up-and-go has truly gotten up and buggered off.

Supper was a sandwich with the last of the herrings, a HCB and another pot of tea.

Now sat by the fire watching the live NASA feed on the laptop.

Well, nice shots but I was more impressed when Webb got launched. That really was doing something new, this is boldly going where we've been before. Apollo did it several times with less cash, less tech and less hype.

I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one, I'm afraid.

I was born the year of Apollo-Soyuz, so despite being an Apollo programme buff with a whole shelf of books on the wall behind me, this is a new experience. Especially being able to follow the flight in real time on Youtube. Now *that* blows Apollo into the weeds. And the hype's a good thing IMHO, if it gets people engaged. There's far worse things to get excited about, and if it gets the young 'uns hooked, then the world will be in a better place.

And with my engineer's hat on, it's not a been-there-done-that. It's a test flight of new equipment. And Artemis, in the long term at least, is a totally different programme to Apollo. Sure, there's the race to one-up the Chinese, but come on, how can you not get excited about building up to a permanent base on another celestial body? And the fact that it's not just the US this time. The Canadians are involved, ESA is involved, it's a collective effort.

Went out for the walk this afternoon and quickly went back indoors and swapped a fleece top for a windjacket as it was one of those days that looked warmer than it was.

Took mum up to the hospital to see stepfather and all seems to be going well - but that may be partly due to the Oramorph he'd been given. Having seen the lack of mobility when I do the collection (tomorrow hopefully) I may take their car as mine's a fairly low slung estate with narrow doors while they have a smaller but higher and wider doored hatch. Whether mum with her bad back will be able to squeeze into the back is another matter. Alternatively I put the back seats down on my car and they slide him laid down into my estate on a bed sheet ^_^

The evening's hot chocolate has been had and I think it's time for a cold beer treat.

Actually, Apollo cost us nearly280-338 billion in todays dollars. Artemis closer to 100 billion. Artemis is configured toward a moon base and possible minerals extraction, as well as rare earths.
