Second and third cuppas went down well.

Trip to b&m for a larger plant pot was annoying as no green colour fence paint and the pot we decided on is the same size as the one we already had so another trip required 😡

Wet morning.
Sunny but windy so far this afternoon but predicted. Postie delivered the rear wiper seal from Ford even if the tracking says Monday delivery. Temping to fit but can guarantee that wull invite a heavy shower mid fit.

This afternoon I have dug out a spiky bush in the front garden which has spiked me one too many times over the past 22 years we've lived in this house.

It's chopped and dug out, with a Japanese bush put in it's place. That had been in the back garden but not done anything in two years, with the roots still being small. I'm hoping it'll grow better with more space, water and light.

Afternoon hot chocolate went down well

A mixed bag of sun and murk here chez Casa Reynard, but without the rain that was forecast.

Slept well enough, but only got six hours. An attempt at a lie in was scuppered by the need to visit the little girls' room, by which point I was wide awake. Ergo I gave up, made a and sat in bed working on the novel.

Listened to the football, but the less said about that, the better.

Had a lovely luncheon of a roll filled with roast beef and a pot of tea.

Spent the afternoon watching the action from Aintree. Good job I never bet, as I'd have lost my onesie and then some.

Just finished the chores and sorting out my gubbins for tomorrow. A quiet evening is planned. Mustn't forget to get some parsley from the garden to go with my supper.

It has been sunny here but a bit windy.
I've been out in the garden trying to cut up a small tree that was trying to grow into our greenhouse.

In the end I popped out for just over an hour this afternoon on the bike for a longish mixed on and off road shopping trip into Felixstowe as I opened the last bottle of orange squash in the cupboard to make a cold drink to go with the cuppa. Much brighter than the earlier part of the day, but definitely breezier and certainly not warm.

Gammon steak & spuds were had for tea and since then I've done virtually nothing except catch up with the news, fill then empty (and repeat) an online shopping basket while half watching a re-run of this morning's V8 Supercars races from down under.

Hot chocolate is next.

Do they race them and make engine noises as I was thinking of something more in the Brands Hatch/Silverstone style - both of which are tempting, but...

The other option is to have a day slobbing around the house as it's Paris - Roubaix and the European Le Mans series is being streamed from Barcelona.

Time for me to bank the fire for the night and hobble off to bed via a nice hot bath. Have to be up at cat show o'clock.

Well I went for it! 30k, would have been shorter but I was enjoying a new route. Code for taking a wrong turning
My guardian angel was a nervous wreck and needed a sit down by the time I got home.
Loony little girl taking a bend in a lane at speed. If I'd been in a car there would have been a crash.
Then an incoming 4x4, heavily washed and polished. Not used to the lanes. Didn't really slow or move over. That close I wacked his mirror as we passed. Could have been much worse. Armoured gloves work.
Cut up by some silver VW thing with big exhaust and not much else. The driver with the baseball cap on the wrong way should have warned me.

And it was chilly, I needed a more windproof outer layer.
