This morning's sunshine quickly disappeared and it's turned into quite a chilly and grey day. No rain here yet despite the big blob showing on the rain radar just off the coast.

All necessary domestics have been done and the kitchen floor is almost dry as I left the back door open to help. I think an hour's walk is in order to help build an appetite for tea.

Back home after meeting up with sister outlaw and co at near by attraction. We've left them to it as cut it short due Mrs 73 getting a bad head.
She gone off for a nap to see if it helps, she time before meeting up for an evening meal. It's been one of them days as this morning I went for bloods. Only to find that they'd put two different sets of blood on same request from last months tests. Waiting for the consultants secretary to get back to me about it. Hopefully it gets sorted in time to fit my scan in before my post scan appointment is due.

Just a little time in next doors garden today.On the land chopped up the last of the branches i cut down last week.First pass at weeds on his land parking area,not bad even if i do say it myself.A few days off now.Tomorrow is monthly meeting with lads,Wednesday i have the father in law to myself while early afternoon,hurrah.Thursday Mrs P and me have our afternoon off,sister in law is taking him out,so we are walking to 'Eadingley about thirty five mins and in to Jinos for a Thai lunch,Friday i intend to start weeding next doors back garden,little areas at a time,its not a race,its to get me outside and exercising and a bit of free time.

And home to find yet another election leaflet on my doormat from the party I won't be voting for featuring the gurning pillock leader, not the local candidate and going on about national events rather than the local ones. At least I'll have the satisfaction of seeing his face going through the shredder later on

Busy post WAH. Despite the forecast sunny all day. Indeed as I type this the rain has now arrived.
Lawnmower lowered by a setting and the lawns. Immediately post dinner (scampi french fries and peas plus sticky toffee pudding and custard) Sainsbury's via the hospital again. The remainder of my prescription had turned up.
Then to a Simply Food for gift card free bread for toasting.
Home for the chilled stuff to go in the fridge, a delayed post dinner mug of tea and the washing up done. Then to Aldi where I found the kitchen cabinet storage boxes at last in stock. Can't really blame the antics of the orange clown as they were meant to be stock 2 days before he started his tantrum
Can however blame the demented idiot for Tesco being out of fuel.

Many years ago a bloke came home from holiday and as he switched the light on in his hall a gas explosion blew him out of/ through the front door and partially demolished the house..................He didn't have gas to his house but was 'all electric' and after the explosion there was little or no fire'
It seems there was a leak about 200 yds away and by a freak in geology the gas had filled his house up but not affected any of his neighbours

Well. I slept easier after reading those encouraging words

My good deed for the day was done during this afternoon's walk. Crossing a field on the way back up to the main road, I stood aside to allow a lady to pass on her ebike and waited for the inevitable to happen.
Sure enough when I reached the end of the path, the lady was stood there with her bike puzzling how to get through the kissing gate. She explained that having visited the nature reserve on the marshes, she'd got lost on the way back and took a wrong turning on one of the many unsigned paths in the area.
I did the decent thing and lifted her bike over the nearby fence and pointed her back in the correct direction of Felixstowe along the main road. Thankfully it was a small sized 26" wheeled hybrid rather than the bigger MTB or upright style that some ride, so not too heavy.

And now it's hot chocolate time.

It's been a clement and occasionally sunny day here chez Casa Reynard - with none of the forecast rain.

Slept ok - got eight hours in about three goes. Not brilliant, but better than what it's been. Did the usual and took a upstairs and did a couple of hours writing. Then I cleared the chores and cut up a load of firewood.

Had a lovely luncheon of an egg mayonnaise roll, a tangerine, a banana yoghurt and a pot of tea.

After, hauled in the firewood and stashed it in the garage. I also dragged out a flymo and a strimmer from the shed to fettle as I need to cut the grass, and I've yet to trace the electrical issue on the rise-on mower. Also did some clearing up in the house.

A tasty and decently healthy supper of a jacket potato topped with tofu and vegetable scramble (onions, tomato, spinach and avocado)

Had a quiet evening watching TV.

Lovely day out at the cat show yesterday, stewarding for an all-breed judge. I learned a lot, which is something that I really enjoy. I also stewarded for Best in Show, and ended up handling both the cat that went overall BIS household pet (who I judged earlier this year) and the cat that went overall best pedigree - a lovely Balinese.

Madam Boo was SO pleased to see me when I got home, and she's been glued to me ever since.

I bought a Triang Blue Pullman at the model railway exhibition yesterday for £10. I've always liked the Blue Pullman so seeing all 3 bits for sale I bought it. It needs work. It looks like it was ket somewhere wet as the wheels were bright orange with rust and the motor was covered in a cream coloured powder. I have taken the motor out and have been de-rusting the wheels and parts of the motor. I've cleaned the commutator and it spins freely. The wheels are almost clean now. I will reassemble it and see if it works.

Note that the driving wheels will ruin any modern track. It depended a fair bit on the driving wheels "biting into" the track, not rubber traction tyres.
