Good morning from Suffolk where it's been another sunshine and clear blue skies morning. Coffee has been had.

Going by the way the trees the other side of the rail line are swaying, it's even more breezy than yesterday. At least the bedding currently being washed should dry quickly on the whirlygig even if I do have to add a few extra pegs to hold it on. Once that's been sorted and a little faffing around done, the car will get the first wash & polish of the year.

Isn't it a bit early in the day (your time) to be that confident?

I remember thinking the same thing! guess I was comparing to the day before, which was a Monday after a 1 week school break. yesterday lots of school administrators & sports league reps. were making up for lost time

rain expected. I need to do some lawn patching around our place. every visit to our family's vacant house gets some lawn patching

the city removed a tree & left behind a weird curved sidewalk repair from when the tree was still there

picking up where I left off last summer, w/ some over seeding

circle is where a small tree / shrub stump had to be removed

this area had shrubs over the years, doesn't get much sun & was never really patched well. hopes are low but at least I'm giving it a fighting chance

this edge of the patio is washing away & the patio is collapsing, ugh. the next owners are going to have to make some hard decisions. yard work at night has it's disadvantages but it's when I'm available, so I'm getting used to it

will be interesting to see how this develops over the summer. this side doesn't get much sun. at least I won't see the exposed & eroded edge of concrete

That's a good morning's work completed and the car looks much better inside & out. Between the washing & polishing stages I was only indoors for a few minutes making a cuppa which was long enough for the car to be a victim of a fly by shooting (keeping the swear word filter happy) with that area needing another quick wipe & wash. Also the bedding has been dried, brought in, folded and put away.

The bad news is that the car washing is going to cost me a bit of the cash from the interest from the ISA that matures at the end of the month. The hot water is supplied by the boiler, but it failed to kick in this morning when filling the bucket (the heating still works fine). I know it was working at the end of January when I last had a bath instead of a shower and I've not changed anything so a trip into town to book an engineer to have a look is needed at some point. Don't even suggest any fixes I can try myself as, if you knew the level of my DIY abilities, you wouldn't even let me change a fuse in a plug.

Coffee & a ham pickle roll for lunch.
