An advance guard of 3 vans and men. The men remain in their vans. Studying screens and phones, the ones that haven't got their feet up conserving energy.
Not surprising they aren't outdoors with this wind, it's chilly.
Who pays for all this vanishing gas?

A question: why did I see six snowploughs heading north on the A1 in Yorkshire this lunch-time?

What do they know that the rest of us don't?

I bet they have sold them off thinking that we'll never have snow again.

That t'was on a Monday morning, the gas tap wouldn't turn.

Lovely & warm, but breezy, hour spent pottering around in the garden 🪾

Slight error with a pot grown oak tree. I should have moved it a while ago as the tap root has worked it's way through the drainage holes & into the soil. I've eased it out of the ground and put it elsewhere. We'll see if it survives 🫂

Econ Engineering at Ripon make them so possibly going for maintenance or off lease.

Lunchtime BT. Could have been an office day but thought it better to give my bruised knee spells of 20 minute icings.
Afternoon work visits for a couple of hours.Fair number of cyclists about, four potholes hit and only three sets of temporary lights in the 40 miles
Managed to leave the toasting bread out of the freezer the other day so being used for sandwiches as well. Consequently a quick nip into Simply Food at Ripon for another gift card free one and also TV guide.
Worked out the clips and straps on the garden furniture cover.

I did some fettling on my touring bike today as I'm still considering the Hebridan way next month. I also rearranged things in my back yard in preparation for my shed which should hopefully come soon.

I have managed to do my back in again I had hoped for a few days camping to the coast to make the most of my remaining few days off and the good weather, but this has made it unlikely now as getting up from an airbed could be a challenge!

It's amazing how long a conversation about tomato plants and where to locate them can take

I saw the flea botomist yesterday, and today was lots of questions, jabs and collect tablets.

Today was a world record in some ways, two hours from leaving the house to getting back again. Easy peasy to park, called in for treatment about ten minutes after appointment time, no queue to leave the car park.
