@Andy in Germany have you ever considered drawing to order or professional model making? You clearly have a skill there.

Thank you, I'm not that good: I can draw a bit, possible better than some, but I can't just draw or make anything which is what I'd be required to do if I was professional. To be honest, I doubt I have the self-discipline to become that good either, so it's partly me.

Two of my sons are putting the work in though: one is setting up a business as a photographer, and another is about to graduate as a fashion designer.

Good morning from Suffolk where the run of sunshine, clear blue skies and a very stiff breeze continues. Back on the XL coffee after not a very good night's sleep.

The good news is that the breeze has shifted slightly and is more easterly which means more of a tail wind for today's outing (a modified version of a route I did last week). Even better is that my Private Eye subscription renewal was less than expected so I can now have drinks and lunch while out to round off the month.

Higher authorities have decreed it's a non cycling day.
Keep in check the excitement of shopping and a trip to the recycling depot.
I find it frustrating when there are odds and ends there that I could use some bits of. Big signs warning that nothing can be removed from the area without written authority. Doesn't say whose written authority you need.

Then clutching the will to live we trawl the Halls of Aldi in search of sustenance and stimulation. Watching the living dead dragging their burdens to the ordeal by checkout. Crossing the Styx will probably be easier

Then, to round off a power day, an emergency, extra ordinary, trustees meeting. This, to approve the appointment of a senior member of staff.

Yes I am a bit fed up, not fed up enough to invoke the "mental wellbeing" clause.

I've been on a hill in the Lake District when they've flown down the valley below us, Testing and familiarisation with the ground following Radar systems.
Bit freaky when you can see the top of an Aircraft though

The whole area around Windermere and wider area of the Lakes forms Low flying area 17 (LFA17). Over the lake the height and speed is restricted. Other than that pilots are pretty free to do what they like. They tend to enter via the south coming in from grange over sands, morecambe bay area. 3 main routes make up the area, In via windermere and up head up to Ambleside and out via Keswick. The other over windermere go's to the right via Kirkstone pass and out via ullswater. The 3rd is a pass down part the M6 that borders the lakes and Yorkshire dales fly out around the area when the gap between the two boundaries opens around the Orton area.
